BeiDou-Based Passive Radar Vessel Target Detection: Method and Experiment via Long-Time Optimized Integration

The BeiDou navigation satellite system shows its potential for passive radar vessel target detection owing to global-scale coverage. However, the restrained power budget from hampers performance. To solve this limitation, paper proposes a long-time optimized integration method obtain an adequate signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). During long observation time, range migration, intricate Doppler and noncoherence characteristic bring challenges processing. In paper, first, keystone transform is applied correct walk. Then, considering of entire echo, hybrid strategy adopted. remove migration residual modeled as optimization problem. Finally, particle swarm (PSO) algorithm problem, after which echo over time well concentrated, providing reliable performance BeiDou-based radar. Its effectiveness shown by simulated experimental results.
